Two curly bros, doing curly things.

Big shout out to Br. John Komarek ’07 who has found success this summer after opening his brand new business, Curly: Creative Communications. After graduation from the College of Liberal Arts, John found work in the communications field in a variety of arenas, from the political to the public sector to the non-profit. His extensive experience had given him a ready arsenal of insight into the internal and external communication needs of businesses. John created Alpha Delta Phi’s Professional Networking Nights, in which brothers were invited to attend a presentation by a fellow alum — topics related to professional experiences. These events were highly praised by attendees and Komarek’s efforts proved worthwhile.

This year, he founded Curly: Creative Communications with the help of his associate Mina Saremi. John and Mina have been busy meeting and greeting local business owners in the community and establishing a solid client base. While Mina takes care of the sales, John spearheads the creative duties and brings fresh options to people’s advertising, marketing and public relations needs.

For people looking to get in front of a camera with a simple message to viewers, John had the idea to provide a simple, in-office setup and let people simply stand in front of a high-definition camera with professional lighting and, well, TALK. And thus, Curly’s “Talking Head” program was born. Simple, yet needed. A fine example of Br. Komarek’s problem solving abilities as a communications professional.

We wish John the best of luck in his new endeavor and his brothers at Alpha Delta Phi are proud of him and his newfound success as a new business owner.
