Proof that Alpha Delta Phi is rockin' and no KQRS disc jockeys were harmed during the event

You can’t always get what you want, but if you try sometimes, you get what you need.

A bit of a predictable way to begin a post like this, but hey, it’s not every day our house gets some attention from a well-known, major Twin Cities radio station, but thanks in part to Mick Jagger, Keith Richards and the fine folks at KQRS, Alpha Delta Phi was brought into the spotlight to help celebrate one of the most highly-anticipated concerts to take place on the University of Minnesota campus.

On Wednesday, June 3rd, the world famous Rolling Stones brought their show to TCF Bank Stadium and people flocked in droves to see the legendary rockers. Classic rock station KQRS-FM chose none other than the front yard of Alpha Delta Phi to sponsor the pre-party atmosphere with a live broadcast of “Zepp Afternoons” with DJ Brian Zepp.

Staff from the station praised the house, making special note of the newly-resurfaced parking lot and were more than happy to share how much fun they had broadcasting from Alpha Delta Phi.

During every live segment, Zepp and co. would announce, “we’re live at Alpha Delta Phi on the corner of 18th and University” about once every 4 songs or so. Great positive and free PR for our Minnesota Alpha Delts!

If you enjoy music like the Rolling Stones, be sure to tune into 92.5 KQRS for a great variety of your favorite classic hits. We’d like to thank Brian Zepp and the entire KQRS-FM staff for being so awesome and would love to host them again in the future!
