Literary Roots

As a literary fraternity, we take pride in all aspects of the meaning. As many as possible are included in the production of the bi-annual newsletter, the Northern Star, which is sent to all alumni and parents. Also, all the chapters in the U.S. and Canada participate in an international literary competition. We take great pride in our education, and we continually strive to increase our cumulative GPA and become one of the leading academic fraternities at the University of Minnesota.

purpose

Samuel Eells, the provident founder of Alpha Delta Phi, most eloquently expressed the principle purpose of the fraternity. It was his intent that "this new association, with a true philosophical spirit, looking to the entire man, develop his whole being — moral, social and intellectual."
