- Upon graduation from the University of Minnesota in 2004 I was commissioned into the United States Army, and have served about 6 years on active duty. During that time I have been deployed twice in support of Operation Iraqi Freedom serving in and around Balad and Mosul, Iraq. I was awarded the Bronze Star Medal during each deployment. Currently I am station at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. I have approximately one year of active duty service remaining, after which I plan to attend law school.
