BEST CHAPTER AWARD: MINNESOTA

During the 178th Alpha Delta Phi International Convention held at the Miami Chapter in Oxford, Ohio, the Minnesota Chapter was awarded the E.O. Blackman Award as the most outstanding undergraduate chapter for the 2009-2010 school year. The active chapter was evaluated over the past year by the Fraternity’s Chapter Service Consultants on a number of factors including recruitment, literary programming, leadership and academic success and was determined to be the highest achieving chapter within the International organization. The award was accepted by Chapter President Nicholas Mangano ’11 on behalf of the chapter.

The 178th Convention presented the Order of the Sword and Spear to a Minnesota brother – Jeremy Blackburn ’10. The Sword and Spear – the highest award an undergraduate can receive – is given annually to one brother from the fraternity for his dedication and service to his chapter, his community, and the University.
